“The hotel staff are nice! However, you need good Spanish to stay here. Highly recommend just day trips to Cozumel - the infrastructure (including this hotel) is just meant for cruise ship stopovers etc. and in general you’ll pay a lot more money for very bad accommodations and even locals told me it’s not very safe (solo female traveler). I quickly had two bad run ins - nothing bad happened, but absolutely would’ve if I wasn’t being hyper aware of my surroundings. I tried to politely ask to shorten my stay to one night within hours of arriving but hotel wouldn’t refund.”
