“We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon after really wanting to switch off from our home/work lives in Aus. The transit and connection to the island was smooth and dropped us on the beach where staff greeted us and we checked in. The resort was clean and tidy with workers about all days. The room was large open and bright and turned over each day. The food was great, we had fresh seafood from the fisherman and amazing beef from a nearby island. There isn’t a lot to do locally on this island though it is worth a walk to the coffee plantation on a Saturday morning for local brewed coffee. Tours on Santo are easily arranged and a quick trip over to the tour last by boat was gladly arranged by the staff. It was worth the trip to champagne beach and port olry and a swim in the blue holes. The stay was perfect for us. This isn’t a 5 star resort full of amenities and toys but that’s exactly what we were looking for. Our day was pretty much wake early, enjoy the still morning water , take a kayak out into the bay and snorkel on the beautiful reefs and sunbake on the sand. A late swim and a snooze then back to the nakamal for a beer and a great dinner with dessert. Worth a trip back.”
