“We stayed at Shell Island Resort for a recent weekend long family reunion, and overall it was such a fabulous experience. The location can not be beat! The beach is beautiful and the views from our balcony were so calming and relaxing. The front desk staff were so kind, not something you see all the time nowadays. They had to deal with a lot of personality and did not even flinch. The overall building needs some TLC, but nothing that made us worried. The restaurant was nice and they have an outside tiki bar that serves a mean rum runner. Great views and the food was good. Didn't blow your socks off, but consistent and fresh. Our favorite server was Tabitha, she made our family feel like we had been coming there for years. Our family rented an event space to host our big party and it was the perfect size. The manager Brendan did a fantastic job. He and his team were so kind to us and took extra steps to make sure we had what we needed. Our last day we asked to have a photographer for our large family photo out on the beach and Brendan made that happen without hesitation. Would stay again for sure, thank you for taking care of our family!”
