“Moxy was excellent all-around for a solo traveler who will mostly be out and about. The room itself was just enough space for me with a comfortable bed, large windows with blackout curtains, beautiful view from the 11th floor, a nice large TV, modern bathroom with rain shower head, and nice shower, shampoo, and body wash amenities. The hangers were great, and I didn’t need a closet. I was unable to fit my big luggage underneath the couch, so I put it on the other side of the bed’s corner by the window, and that was fine. I was able to do work on my laptop with the table and chair provided. There was a safe to keep valuables and a mini-fridge. Slight concerns for some folks may be that I could hear my neighbor move the curtains up and down, and there was some noise from first responder vehicles (police, ambulances, fire engines) once in a while. I put earplugs in and that negated the sounds. I was going to take a rideshare from Dulles to the hotel, but it cost $70. I thought to myself, “Oh, hell naw!” and checked out Apple Maps for a public transportation option. Turned out to be $6.75 taking the Metro Silver Line to Metro Station and then walking several blocks to the hotel. Such a great deal! The neighborhood is excellent: you are close to hotels if there are conferences to attend, nice restaurants and cafes, and within 1-2 miles to Washington Monument, White House, and Constitution Ave where all the museums are. The staff were courteous and helpful, especially this one quite tall African American woman (about 6’ like me) who had a lovely bright smile and welcoming aura about her. I was able to leave my luggage during the day before check-in and again after I checked out, when I wanted to sightsee a bit more before my later evening flight. The lobby was very hip and happening with social events during the day, and they even open up the large walls with windows when it’s out - a vibe indeed! I had a smash burger at Rosa’s Diner, and it was HELLA good. 10/10 The only caveat I have is that this might be too small for a couple with two check-in sized luggages.”
