“First of all I am an experienced traveler I rarely get bad reviews almost never and I always read the fine print! I received correspondence after making the reservation from both booking.com and the La Quinta property itself. Never was a security deposit mentioned. I read everything very carefully and I had exactly enough money budgeted for my trip. I get there ready to check in at 1500 have my reservation on my phone just in case they need to check it and they inform me my card declined because there was a $50 security deposit!! I said that was never mentioned to me and besides that I pulled out my phone and I showed them the letter not from booking but from them that showed my total charge was 105. Even with evidence clearly presented they never told me about this charge they still refused to let me check in unless I was willing to pay it and I did not have the money I had not budgeted for that! Just honesty in booking cost! I don't care if you have a million dollars in deposits and fees that's your prerogative but don't hide it until the person walks into the property and the person has actual correspondence from the property itself not mentioning them.”
