“I am currently a guest at the Hotel Indigo St. Louis Downtown, and, unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing. The property appears to be in poor repair, with limited in-room amenities and an exceptionally small shower that felt below expectations for a hotel operating under the Hotel Indigo and IHG brand. I understand the hotel recently emerged from receivership, which may help explain what feels like a significant lack of investment in the property. However, regardless of ownership transitions, guests reasonably expect a baseline level of quality, upkeep, and service. Most concerning was my interaction with the daytime front desk staff member, who was remarkably rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Hospitality begins with customer service, and this interaction set an unfortunate tone for the stay. The restaurant experience was equally disappointing. Although marketed as full service, it appears to operate with a single employee serving simultaneously as both cook and server, resulting in what feels more like a self-service setup than a restaurant experience. The staff member seemed understandably overwhelmed and frustrated by the circumstances, which points to broader operational issues rather than individual fault. Overall, I cannot recommend staying here in its current condition. Based on this experience, I believe IHG should closely evaluate whether this property is presently meeting the standards expected of its network and brand reputation.”
