“we arrived on a Thursday afternoon upon check-in read a letter saying the pool was closed from April 21 through the 25th to learn that it was never going to be opened and no one alerted us of this prior to our arrival. The first room that was assigned us smelt like dogs because they rent out the rooms and have residence living there we got upgraded to an oceanfront with a balcony or oceanfront balcony. Glass door was bolted shut because lolly columns were holding up the six story structure. Overall the hotel did not compare to what was advertised on the website. It was extremely disappointing. There's a lot of character and charm that I expected due to the age of the hotel but I learned that it will be torn down this summer and replaced Palm Beach is beautiful. I would recommend that area, but I would not recommend staying at the ambassador the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but no one seemed to address the ongoing issues. The beach was not clean. The cabanas were broken. There were not enough chairs for guests”
