“Subject: Executive Escalation – Safety and Conduct Complaint | Satsuma, AL Property To Executive Leadership, I am formally escalating a serious safety and conduct complaint regarding the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Satsuma, Alabama. I reserved a 14-night business stay while working for Fluor (Southern Power) and was also evaluating the property for potential future corporate lodging use. Upon arrival, I was assigned multiple rooms that were in unacceptable condition—torn carpet with exposed backing, visibly dirty walls and doors, and significant mold/mildew buildup in the bathroom (photos attached). After reluctantly staying one night due to exhaustion from traveling alone from Georgia, my company secured alternate accommodations. When I returned to check out early, the owners became hostile when I requested a receipt and questioned the room condition. I was told never to return, followed outside, yelled at, cursed at, and approached in an aggressive manner with clenched fists. As a 66-year-old woman traveling alone, I felt physically threatened. This conduct is unacceptable for any Wyndham-branded property. I am requesting: A full refund for the night stayed. A formal investigation into the property’s condition and ownership conduct. Written confirmation of corrective action. I am prepared to escalate further through regulatory and consumer protection channels if necessary but would prefer resolution directly through executive review.
