“We were very disappointed with our stay and decided to leave after the first night, despite having booked and paid for three nights. Unfortunately, neither the room nor the overall hotel experience reflected the price we paid. Both the room and the hotel had an unpleasant smell, and we were disappointed to discover that the pool was closed. Even if it had been open, the overall condition of the hotel appeared neglected and run-down, and we would not have felt comfortable using it. In addition, there were construction works taking place around the hotel, which further affected our experience. One positive aspect was that the parking area appeared to be well secured. This for sure because of the significant number of homeless individuals and people who seemed to be under the influence of drugs. What was particularly frustrating was the lack of response from the hotel staff. After check-in, we received a text message asking whether everything was satisfactory. We replied (at our own expense, as international guests), explaining our concerns, but never received any response. We also attempted to call the hotel, which cost us approximately $20 due to international charges. After waiting in the queue for a considerable time, the call was eventually disconnected.”
