“The staff were fantastic and did all they could to make my visit as smooth as possible. I was in town court unpleasantries involving the ex and property etc. uggh. But every moment I was at The Porter I felt pampered. Keepin it real- the restaurant on the roof isn’t owned by the hotel and doesn’t seem very accommodating for hotel guests- which seems an odd choice because of the built-in clientele. It’s my understanding they don’t provide take out for hotel guests, so I got dressed, went up, ate two bites and asked for to-go boxes. I see where they are trying to go with their vibe, and hotel guests fresh from the steam room and hot tub don’t work. But for me, having my own little spa day- enjoying nicer snacks in my robe after a steam room would be great. Still, pretty good food and got to take pictures for my dad. I went there for dinner with him years ago. The server was really nice.”
