“The location near Indiana Dunes National Park made accessing both the west & east ends of the park convenient. It was priced considerably less than other motels in the area. The requested “accessible “ room was spacious but it had a bath tub instead of a step in or roll in shower. Three grab bars didn’t make it any easier to get into for someone with limited mobility. Generally the staff was friendly & accommodating. Breakfast on Saturday was sparse & when the somewhat rude staff member servicing the breakfast bar was asked about some missing items she said there would be no more food put out. This was at least 45 minutes before breakfast service was to end. Considering the Portage area had experienced tornado damage & loss of power for 4-5 days, the staff did a really good job being prepared for guests.”
