“There are very few decent places to stay in this area, and this place takes advantage of it by overcharging tired travelers. ($25 more than other, nicer similar places we stayed.). The front desk was friendly. The room was average with ridiculously high beds and disappointing housekeeping and maintenance. We didn’t use the shower. The counter ledge around the sink vanity hadn’t been wiped down. The tissues were one ply. There was an empty tp roll on the floor behind the wastebasket…it wasn’t ours. The grand finale was when the particleboard shelf between the beds fell off when my husband fell into it. Both ended up on the floor. Thankfully, all he had was a bleeding cut on his arm. It was obvious the shelf had been repaired (badly) before. We reported it to IHG corporate. Their AI response stated how they take concerns seriously. They have not contacted us. Breakfast was adequate with a decent selection. Honestly, at that point, we just wanted out of there.”
