“I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Peabody, Massachusetts. The room was fine; the hotel told me that rooms had been renovated, but our room had a few issues (like a sink handle that fell off in my hand, a loose wall plate in the sink area, etc. — nothing major). The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially resolving an issue with noisy children in our hallway. The reason I am giving the hotel three stars is because of the parking. The hotel charges for parking, but when I came back to the hotel at 10:30 pm on a Saturday evening, every single space was taken (and many people had therefore parked in areas where there weren’t spaces). I believe this is because there is a conference/event space that hosts the events that also uses the parking. Being able to count on your hotel to have parking (especially when you are paying for it) is critical for a relaxing stay, and while I did ultimately get parking, I was disappointed by this situation.”
