“We stayed at this Comfort Inn during our move to Florida and booked two rooms through Booking.com. The total shown in Booking.com was $270.14. After the stay, we noticed an additional charge of $107.50 on our card. When we called the property, we were told it was a pet fee. The problem is that we were never informed about this fee at check-in, nobody asked us to approve it, and there was no clear pet checkbox or warning during our Booking.com reservation process. The day before, we stayed at another Comfort Suites booked through Booking.com, where there was a clear “traveling with pets” option, and we were not charged any unexpected extra fee. Charging over $100 after the stay without clearly informing the guest in advance feels unfair and misleading. If a hotel has a pet fee, it should be clearly disclosed before booking or at least at check-in, not silently charged to the guest’s card afterward. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone traveling with pets unless they are ready for unexpected charges.”
