“The value for the price was extremely disappointing. We paid over $1,000 per night and were given a room overlooking the parking lot. Although the hotel was recently renovated, the room felt humid and musty, and the furniture already seemed outdated. What was most frustrating was the constant construction noise throughout our stay. At 7:30 every morning, jackhammering began and continued throughout the day across multiple areas of the property. At no point during booking were we informed that major construction was taking place. There was scaffolding covering the entire beach-facing side of the hotel, making it impossible for staff not to know about the situation in advance. The noise affected the entire experience. We skipped breakfast and dinner at the restaurant because of ongoing significant noise, couldn’t relax by the fire pit for the same reason, and even at the beach, the nonstop jackhammering could still be heard. There was really no escape from it unless you left the property entirely. It felt very misleading that the hotel failed to disclose this to guests before arrival. That said, there were some positives. The hotel itself was very clean, the pool and spa areas were beautiful, and the bar served excellent drinks and desserts. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and hospitable, and the overall atmosphere of the property was pleasant. Unfortunately, some of the front desk staff were dismissive and unapologetic when concerns were raised, and there was little effort made to address or resolve the situation such as switching us to another room. Overall, this stay did not come close to justifying the price point. Who is in charge here????”
