“We stayed at this hotel in spite of the mixed reviews on this site and from friends. In the plus side all but one floor has been renovated and modernized with very attractive guest rooms, modern fixtures and subdued colors. The first floor has yet to be renovated and based on then former dark earth tones, the renovation is a big plus. Also the location of the hotel is great and near many restaurants and stores in Mechanicsburg. The front desk staff are great, polite and attentive to every request. Hot breakfast is complimentary and decent—eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, real bagels, cereals, packet oatmeal , yogurts, hard boiled eggs, oranges and bananas. Two areas for improvement for our room 331: 1. The HVAC system was excessively noisy for a newly renovated room and needs repair and a reliable connection to the new thermostat which kept showing error messages. 2. The hotel commits to daily housekeeping. That didn’t happen in our room even though we had left it by 11:30 am for the day. Don’t commit to this unless you’re going to follow through. We will give this hotel another try in 3 months. It does have very good potential.”
