“I would like to start by saying that I am very disappointed with the customer service I received from the Wyndham Lancaster Resort & Convention Center. I had made a reservation for a one-night stay. Unfortunately, while I was on my way to the hotel, my car broke down. During the entire ordeal, I attempted to call the hotel numerous times to explain my situation, but I was unable to reach anyone. I continued trying and was finally able to speak with a representative today. When I explained what had happened, the representative was very inconsiderate and dismissive. Rather than showing any empathy or attempting to assist me, they repeatedly responded, "No, we can't do that," without offering any alternatives or taking the time to understand my situation. Not only was I charged for the reservation despite the circumstances beyond my control, but the hotel also refused to offer any type of accommodation, such as a rain check, credit for a future stay, or any other gesture of goodwill. The lack of compassion and poor customer service I experienced was extremely disappointing. I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, but I also believe exceptional customer service involves listening to guests and handling unforeseen emergencies with understanding and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I hope Wyndham in Lancaster will review this matter and consider providing a more customer focused approach in situations like mine.”
