“Possible Bed Bug Exposure, Family Developed Bite Marks, Safety and Cleanliness Concerns 
Stayed at DoubleTree Alana Oahu (Room 820). During our stay, we found what appeared to be a bed bug on the fold-out couch, documented with photos and video. Shortly after, my wife, two daughters, and I all developed multiple bite marks. The hotel later denied it was a bed bug, but provided no explanation for how all four of us developed consistent bites during the stay in the same room where the insect was found. The issue was not properly investigated or addressed. There were also cleanliness concerns including a stained bed, worn furniture, and a persistent unpleasant smell. A sewing needle was also found on the floor, which caused a foot injury. Overall, serious concerns about cleanliness, safety, and pest control. I would not stay here again.”
