“Positives: Friendly staff. We booked 2 nights, and during check in and check out only one person was on duty. Not sure how many employees since they were the only two we saw. Also this location is perfect, very close (10 min drive) to any grocery store or entertainment (Hooky, Funland, nature trails, IHOP, etc) I love the garden they started behind the hotel. I only took one picture of the bean plant, but there's more I didn't get a picture of. Before anything, we saw over two nights we stayed there were probably 6-10 people sleeping here a night. They seem to make enough money to fix things, but seemingly refuse to. DO NOT COUNT ON THAT SWIMMING POOL BEING OPENED THIS YEAR IN 2026. There is a handicap accessible pool machine next to a pool with a tarp on it and no seating whatsoever halfway through JULY. They may never open the pool again. (Our guess is this place was recently bought out.) Vending machines are also out of order. We were in room 105. Our TV seemed to be the only one on the back side that didn't work. The screen and audio remind me of bunny ear tv in a storm, but there was no storm. They do NOT CLEAN BEHIND THE DOOR (from the outside parking lot) into the room. Rust and red, gross stains behind the door, you see it as soon as you close the door when you're inside the room. Cleaning must not have been done in that spot in years. The floorboards ARE AN ACTUAL HAZARD, and my main concern for someone who cannot walk well. THEY ARE A FALL RISK. THIS CAN GET THIS COMPANY SUED. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. Also, speaking of doors, there's two. One to the outside, one to the bathroom. THE BATHROOM DOOR WAS OBVIOUSLY KICKED IN, HAND SIZED HOLE ON DOOR AND DOORKNOB COMPLETELY BROKEN, BATHROOM DOOR WAS NOT ABLE TO LATCH. (Just a btw, we booked this for our anniversary to go see Funland. Extremely disappointed in this hotel, would never go again. I agree with previous comments, one night stays for truckers is usually what this place seems for.) For bathroom amenities there is the smallest shampoo and conditioner and two tiny bar soaps. 4 towels, one floor towel, and a couple washcloths. Finger sized holes and stains on the sheets make sense since we had a Smoking room. A big cigarette scent in there, AC helps a bit, but not too much. Stains on the walls, not sure what from. The blow dryer works, but the telephone next to the bed has no dial tone when you pick it up.”
