“Have no fear if you're planning to stay here in the coming weeks. We just returned from a great 4 day and night stay at HICV's Hill Country Resort at Canyon Lake. Excellent accommodations in a 2BR-2Bath villa with a full kitchen. Brookshire Brothers grocery store is very close by and convenient. Enjoyed lounging at their pool and hot tub, playing mini-golf and ping pong, taking the short drives to nice hikes at Canyon Lake Gorge ($5/person) and the lake's dam, Canyon Park Drive, Madrone Trail and its pollinator garden. Had good dinners at nearby Italian Garden and Guadalajara restaurants. Day trip to downtown San Antonio to visit the Alamo and other Spanish mission historic sites just south of town, then strolled the famous River Walk. The nice gentleman who checked us in at registration told us this resort will be shutting down in late December and HICV will put it on the market for sale. It will interesting to see if another timeshare company acquires it, or if all of its buildings are converted to condos for sale and/or apartments for rent.”
