“We had a fantastic experience at theAustin Marriott downtown! We could see Ladybird Lake from our hotel window as well as a beautiful view of downtown Austin. We took a long walk along the incredible paths along Ladybird and were amazed at how many walkers/runners/bikers were out on a Thursday morning. It’s no wonder though, because the path is gorgeous. The hotel itself had vibrant bars, and the restaurant, Corinne had fantastic appetizers and drinks and a super friendly wait staff. The manager came by to make sure we were doing well and then engaged in a friendly conversation. The pool is gorgeous! There are lounge chairs in a shallow area of the pool where you can sit slightly immersed, which is fabulous given the summers in Austin. The pool sits alongside Zanzibar, which is a very trendy and comfortable bar on the seventh floor. That said, we felt the pool provided plenty of privacy. This hotel has an M lounge. We happen to be platinum members, so we took full advantage of their delicious appetizers in the late afternoon/evening. We also were thrilled with the quality of the full and hot breakfast. Billy, the chef is gifted. We especially liked the service and attention that Prime gave us. He was ready to help us or bring us what we might want, and seemed genuinely happy to be a server at the M lounge. There were tons of good options for other restaurants walking distance from the hotel. We conversed with some people who were there to see Ariana Grande’s performance. The city seemed approachable, friendly, safe, and proud of their heritage. Oh – and the rooms and beds were very comfortable and clean.”
