“Nice foliage in the courtyard. Reasonable breakfast in the beachside restaurant. We booked for 7 nights but after 2 nights we found the accommodation intolerable and moved out to an alternative hotel for the final 5 nights. The main problem was very loud thumping music at the beachfront from two competing sources right next to the hotel's restaurant and beach frontage. From late afternoon until 2am. Even earplugs were insufficient to cancel the noise. Shower inadequate due to extremely poor flow of water. No safe deposit box, as specified in the booking particulars. Our bedroom lit by only one bright bare bulb switched only by the front door. No bedside lamp or switch. Service in the restaurant was very slow and they tried to charge us for an item we did not order. We agreed with the owner on leaving that we could receive a proportionate refund of the advanced payment made through Booking.com but the owner has as yet failed to honour that agreement.”
