“Our experience here was very up and down. The hotel was fine, great location on beach road with fantastic views. The breakfast was good as it chopped and changed from buffet one day to pick from a menu the next to a bit of a combo the next. The staff at breakfast were lovely and friendly. The pool area was good but had no shade in the afternoon and lacked any holiday vibes. There was a bar but maybe a bit of music or a happy hour would have made it better. Without doubt the worst thing about this place was check in and check out. When we arrived the lady at reception just listed all the reasons we would be fined if we didn’t follow hotel rules. It was like being scolded by a horriblea teacher. She just read from a list and it was extensive. Had we not already paid we would have walked out. We had the same experience at checkout with the same lady. We were forced to pay our deposit with cash, and we wanted to pay our small hotel bill using our wise card but she wanted to take our bill out of our cash deposit. We explained that we needed the cash for our transport back to Bangkok but she continued to argue. It was a room deposit the money was ours, I eventually reached over the counter and grabbed the 1000baht note and offered our wise card. The whole experience was horrible and certainly not one we have encountered during our many visits to Asia previously. I would not stay here again”
