“We really loved this hotel. I would put it on par with another favourite hotel of ours which is the one & only in Mauritius- this however is a cheaper option but the standard is equally great. We had a few hiccups but the hotel dealt with everything so swiftly and professionally (for example, we lost power due to a storm and we were really impressed by the way they dealt with it). The pools are top class. The food at seafire salt really impressed us, the half board allows you to have fillet steak every night if you wish and the standard of the food is very high. We spoke with the head chef, Iain, on numerous occasions and he’s clearly a very experienced chef (including ex-Gleneagles) - it shows in his food. After eating buratta and steak and chocolate fondant on repeat I’ve come home considerably heavier but very happy !! If you’re unsure about rooms I recommend the beach villas, they’re very modern and luxurious. The kids club is also very new with friendly staff and a good array of toys and activities. Our kids really loved it. We have travelled widely and we really highly rated this holiday experience. Can’t wait to visit again someday. Thanks to the team at Anantara Mai Khao for creating a really memorable holiday for us.”
