“Terrible experience – don't trust the pictures. When we arrived, it felt like we had walked onto a construction site. There was no one at reception. There’s no elevator, and the staircase is narrow – not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind. The first room we were given had mold on the ceiling and was leaking water. When we mentioned this, we were given another room. The receptionist didn’t seem too surprised/bothered by the issue. The second room was slightly better, but it had ants everywhere – even crawling on the bed. It was also facing the main road, so there was a lot of noise. The beds were extremely hard, and after just two nights, we both had back pain. To make things worse, there were exposed electrical wires hanging out of the wall next to the showerhead, apparently going into a water heater. The wires were connected with just open terminal blocks, which made the setup look extremely unsafe. The pool area seemed abandoned – just two dirty, cheap plastic chairs surrounded by old toilet bowls. We didn’t dare get in. We’ve stayed in other hotels in the same price range and we don't expect luxury, but this was extremely poor even by budget standards. Since we were only staying for two nights, we decided to stick it out, though we seriously considered switching hotels.”
