“The Location is nice, the garden is well kept, the view is very beautiful. The cocoons look nice, but are poorly constructed. There is little to no insulation, which results in extremely hot cabins. The air conditioning took about 2–3 hours to cool the room down to a comfortable sleeping temperature (we visited in early April). It was particularly unpleasant that room service turned off the AC after every cleaning, so we had to start the cooling process from scratch every evening. In addition, parts of the shower were broken, which caused the bathroom to flood after every use. Overall, the place is poorly built, which might be acceptable if the pricing were different. I would say 3,500 THB would be fair value for money. We paid about 6,800 THB per night, which is far too much for the level of service provided. Aside from the room quality, the overall experience felt somewhat profit-driven. There was only one breakfast option per person, tour prices were three to four times higher than elsewhere, and asking the staff to call a taxi cost about 100 THB more than arranging one yourself. Even cup noodles from the minibar cost as much as a full meal at a night market. All of these things simply don’t justify the price charged per night. The staff were, I would say, “professionally friendly,” but far from warm or genuinely welcoming.”
