“This resort has everything a gay traveler could hope for, including gym, clothing-optional pool and even a dark(ish) room area. Over Christmas they had lots of very busy events with a lot of day guests on top of the ones staying at the resort. The pool bar offers drinks and simple meals for breakfast and throughout the day. If you so wish, you do not need to leave the resort at all, but can spend your entire holiday there. The atmosphere at the resort was very relaxed and friendly, not a single "unpleasant" guest. We chose to eat out most of the days for the sake of variety. A big shopping mall with a large selections of restaurants is only 10 minutes walking distance away, but of course, as always in Thailand, the roads are not made for pedestrians and it's not a pleasant walk. The price is very high, similar to a five-start-hotel in the city center of Bangkok, but mind you: It's worth it! The windows of the room don't close completely (about 2mm remain) and the bathroom has a ventilation window that cannot be closed at all. For the temperature, that is no problem, as the air conditioning works very well, but it makes it impossible to keep mosqitos out completely. Luckily there were only very few, but a couple of nights we had several stings in the morning. The resort offers transport to and from the airport and to excursion destinations of your choice, you should be aware though that they charge roughly twice what you pay for a regular cab. If you do not use WhatsApp or Telegram, communication only works in peron at the pool bar. SMSs remain unread for several days. Next time we'll bring a separate phone just for WhatsApp.”
