“We liked our stay. It is a good place to relax and get away from things. The room is clean and comfortable, and the host is eager to help. He offered to organize a boat tour. The fishing village is in walking distance and a good place to eat all kinds of seafood. The place is great for birdwatching as there are mangroves around and a quite nice concrete path through the mangrove forest in the vicinity. We saw, among others, 3 different kingfishers, 2 woodpeckers, broadbills, mangrove pitta, and even a fish owl. We enjoyed a short kayak tour. Be aware that the mangroves are tide dependent, so check the tides before if you are planning on using a kayak. The pictures in booking are a bit more idyllic as real life. The water in front of the small rooms is just a pond, with a view of the street (not busy). The mangroves on the other side are only wet at high tide, so most of the day, it will be muddy.”
