“The location - close to the train station but quite isloated and calm. The clever design of the windows that allows you to create draft despite the windows facing only one side of the building. This made it pretty easy to dry clothes. The breakfasts are ok. (They do offer both lactose-free and plant-based milk, it's just not on diplay so you have to ask for it.) The hotel is old and the rooms are kind of falling apart, but that was clear from the description and I had no problem with that. Their offering on Booking was misleanding in multiple ways. This hotel intentionally does not list all of its available rooms in an attempt to sell you a room larger than you need, with multiple services as a "package" you did not ask for. I was looking for a room for one, possibly with breakfast. I only got offered a room for two with breakfast, dinner and "unlimited access to wellness." Only at check-out I received a bill that revealed I could have technically gotten the stay I wanted for cca half the price. The most outrageous fact is that they charged me 10 EUR/night for "not fully occupying the room" - they sold me a (more expensive, of course) room for two instead of a room for one that was available, and then charged me extra for... what exactly? Only having to wash half of the towels/sheets?! Unbelievable scam. The dinners are way worse than the reviews suggest. One evening I was barely able to choose something from the buffet, but even plain rice was overcooked and disgusting. The other day the selection was so horrible that I just grabbed the leftover bread from breakfast and fetched a can of tuna of my own. I wouldn't have dinner there even if it was free. Which it was not. The "wellness" is an absolute disaster. No wonder they use scams to sell it. Since it was very hot and swimming in local lakes is prohibited, the idea of cooling off in their swimming pool after a hike seemed pretty good. But the "swimming pool" is actually just a big whirlpool with multiple jets that is just about 1m deep and ridiculously hot (cca 30°C). Not sure what the hell the point of that is in peak summer... And their "gym" is literally the worst gym I have ever been to - you will be lucky to not injure yourself on a 50-years-old machine.”
