“My wife and I stayed at Hotel Indigo Belgrade for few nights last week, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. The hotel’s biggest strengths are its unbeatable location and the outstanding professionalism of its staff. One important point to know before you arrive is that the hotel is located slightly off the main street, so taxis cannot pull up directly to the entrance. You should be prepared to walk a short distance with your luggage during both check-in and check-out. It is only a minor inconvenience, but it is helpful to know in advance. The location is excellent and ideal for anyone visiting Belgrade for the first time. The hotel is just a short walk from Republic Square, the famous Knez Mihailova pedestrian street, the charming Skadarlija district, and many of the city’s major attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby, making it a perfect base for exploring the city on foot. What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. We would especially like to thank Isidora, Srdjan, and Nadja Lukovac from the housekeeping team. During our stay, there was a major water outage affecting Belgrade’s city centre, and unfortunately the hotel was also impacted. We were without running water from morning until night, which was completely beyond the hotel’s control. Despite this unexpected situation, the way the staff handled the crisis was truly commendable. Isidora, Srdjan, and Nadja remained calm, professional, caring, and genuinely concerned about the comfort of every guest. They did everything within their authority to minimise the inconvenience, kept us informed, and offered whatever assistance they could. Their kindness, empathy, and willingness to help made such a positive impression that we hardly felt the frustration one would normally associate with such a situation. Their dedication to guest satisfaction deserves special recognition. The breakfast selection was fairly average compared to some other hotels, but everything was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. The restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and provided good service throughout our stay. For fellow travellers arriving by air, here are a couple of useful transportation tips: • The A1 Airport Bus costs 400 Serbian Dinars and terminates at Slavija Square. From there, you can take bus 29 or 31 for just three stops to reach the hotel area. • Alternatively, Bus 72 from Nikola Tesla Airport is free of charge. You can get off at Zeleni Venac and enjoy an easy walk of approximately 600 metres to Republic Square and the hotel. • One of the best things about Belgrade is that public transportation is currently free, making it very convenient and economical to get around the city. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo Belgrade. While the temporary water outage was unfortunate, it was handled with remarkable professionalism by the hotel team. Combined with its prime location, comfortable accommodation, and genuinely caring staff, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel—especially to first-time visitors looking to experience the very heart of Belgrade.”
