“The hotel seemed okay at first, until we went out by the pool and had to endure screaming motorcycles participating in open track activities. The racetrack is in this hotels backyard. I am an vehicle enthusiast and ride bikes myself, but I did NOT travel 4500 miles to experience the Algarve region of Portugal to be subjected to the incessant whine of high powered sports bikes. When we decided not to stay after 1 hour on premises we were given a hard sell to stay. We were forced to stand around for 20 full minutes until the manager could find the time to make the pitch. But we could not be persuaded. Upon returning home, we discovered that the hotel would not even offer a partial refund of our three nights. I would have understood them keeping a single nights fees...but all 3 !?! This is robbery pure and simple. I could perhaps understand if they were full...but the place was practically deserted. Very unhappy with the entire experience. Unless you are a re a die hard race fan, I suggest you find something quieter and not as far from the coast.”
