“I have NEVER had a hotel experience like this. Photo on Expedia showed a lovely pool with the beach, with its umbrellas, in the background (1st picture submitted). After check-in, I quickly went out to check the beach. See the photos. That was bad enough. Someone said swimming wasn't allowed as well. Oh....I passed the pool on the way to the beach - that was cloudy (looked ok in the morning). So, I'm already wondering what to do - I've booked for 7 nights! That evening, at 8pm, music started, really loud. After an hour or so, I went out to ask for it to be turned off/down but they weren't interested. Turns out, it goes on till midnight, 7 days a week. Spoke to manager, who was hiding, in the morning but all she was prepared to do was move me to a lesser room, at my expense. Cut a long story short, I checked out forfeiting the next 6 nights. No refunds, either from hotel or Expedia. Expedia eventually offered a 50 USD good will gesture. Ha ha. Still dealing with that. Both bath towels had massive holes in them - never seen that before either. Breakfast and general service was disgraceful. Shame on this hotel - Vista Marina Hotel and Resort - and shame on Expedia for doing nothing. Offending photo is STILL on Expedia's website, despite how seriously they tell you they take complaints.”
