“The design is old but well-maintained. The ambiance and lighting are awesome, and I really liked the floors. Both the front desk staff, housekeeping and the guards were accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The room also had a nice flooring, and the numerous hanging chandeliers were a big plus. Neither the hotel nor the swimming pool felt crowded. Although the pool is small, it's quite nice and offers a view of Manila Bay and the ships. However, we have a few observations that need to be addressed. First, I saw a large black rat in the buffet area, which was very alarming. I informed the kitchen personnel but she simply said they couldn't control it. Second, the front door was difficult to open and we were only provided with one key card. There were no shavers and shaving cream on the first day. My room lacked a refrigerator and had a broken cabinet door. The telephone was also faulty, interrupting my calls to housekeeping. Finally, our room did not have a good view. Despite these issues, it is generally still a good hotel to book.”
