“Staff extremely helpful, eg provided their own mobile phone to help me sort out luggage issues. Location is great for the historic centre (though as it turns out you only need one day to see everything, so you’re much better off staying in Barranco/Miraflores and coming up for a day to visit the centre) Not the staffs fault but the hotel is clearly quite aged. Rooms were musty and dirt/stains could be found in various places. The breakfast is terrible (at least considering that when I’m on holiday I like to have a nice breakfast!), they fry you up an egg and that’s basically it. No buffet to speak of. And by far the worst - as many other reviewers have pointed out - the noise is genuinely intolerable. I think another reviewer provided a video, go watch it. Even on the highest floor it feels like you’re just standing right next to a car honking carnival without anything in between. I know they say they have noise-insulating windows but if that’s true then they are having zero effect. We checked out after 1 night (instead of the original 2 we had booked) because it was just so bad. Grateful to the staff though for refunding me the 2nd night.”
