“This is my second stay here and the facilities are very nice, in a well maintained, colonial era building. Everything is exceptionally clean. Breakfast is tasty and the owners are very, very kind. The paintings are from the 1600's and there are always fresh flowers. Difficult to beat the value. The downside is that you can get locked out in the mid to late afternoon, because there are just a few staff members. I was there in the winter and it can get quite cold waiting for someone to come back and unlock the front door. In two weeks, I was locked out at least four times for about an hour each time. Also, when there are few people staying in the hotel, breakfast may be late. I'd stay here again. Note that the owners speak no English, but are very kind and will try to help you with anything you need. Love the dog, Lilo. Peruvians like windows open, and lots of fresh air, even in the winter. There is seldom any heat, so dress warmly when you need to. I didn't like being locked out. It always happened in the afternoon, after 2pm but it would be open again before 5pm.”
