“We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who had kindly given us an upgrade as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The room had a great view of the lake, a lovely comfy, warm bed, a fabulous bath tub. There were treats and a lovely card which were so much appreciated on our special occasion being so far from home. We had drinks in the cosy bar on the evening and the staff were all so friendly there as well as the breakfast room. The breakfast was great and the chef was sure to ask if I needed any gluten free bread and told me what was safe for me to eat as a coeliac. No hassles with parking, which is a big plus. I would definitely recommend as a stop over on a self drive holiday. Also close to Main Street for shops and cafes. It was not the most modern of hotels but most of the decor was tastefully done. Nothing I could fault. 😀”
