“The property has potential to be good. The grounds and hotel look nice and it’s not too far out of the way from the main tourist area. However, the overall stay was poor for the following reasons. Firstly, upon arrival we were told that the hotel was closed. There was no hotel staff with the exception of a few men that were tending to the grounds. The owner did not realize that there were guests arriving on that day. In any case he made an exception and allowed us to stay. Secondly, the property is gated which can be good for safety. However, as we left the property and came back after dinner and another occasion the door would be locked. This meant we had to shout for around 5 minutes and knock for someone to hear and let us in. Thirdly, the breakfast was good. Though that being said, after coming down and checking the kitchen the next day to let them know we were going to eat out we found that they hadn’t washed any of the utensils and cleaned the area to get ready to cook again. Lastly, there was no apology for any of the inconveniences and a lack of understanding that what was happening should have been looked at as unacceptable. Overall, the hotel can be great. They just need to change some practices. Good luck!”
