“Location is absolutely perfect, and it's a lovely old building with a really interesting history. The cafe downstairs is friendly and obliging and do a mean coffee and cake - Den Bosch is city of cakes too.... There's not much you can do about the street noise, in fact I think it's important that a city is noisy. A couple of things. I think it's smart to have blinds in big windows instead of thin curtains to keep the sun out, regardless of airco and in any case the window wouldn't shut fully, which negated the airco and, given the only thing across it was a metal bar, was a bit questionable. You could jump from that window! The thing that spoiled the stay for two normally very easy going travellers was the fact that the kettle (a small cheap one) seemed to trip the switch when boiling and left us without any power. Luckily it was midsummer so we could see to wash, , but it was all a bit frustrating. There were a LOT of power points in that room. But when we reported, the damned Runnr AI assistant could only repeat meaningless phrases like "our front desk is already on it and will update you as soon as possible" - well, they weren't! We heard two hours later from an actual human (I presume a human, texting) after we'd checked out. Not good. Please get a quality kettle that isn't going to spill water everywhere when it's boiling - even half full - and maybe see if the window can shut better, and get a human when needed. It's a shame as otherwise we'd have enjoyed our stay.”
