“Location was good. Before our stay, we contacted the hotel because previous reviews mentioned bed bugs. The hotel assured us there were no such issues, so we proceeded with the booking. On our first night, we found what appeared to be a bed bug crawling across our pillow and recorded a video. We immediately packed our belongings, checked out, and requested a refund. The receptionist questioned the authenticity of the video, stating that it “could be from anywhere,” and offered no solution. We were forced to find alternative accommodation in Amsterdam late at night. The hotel later informed us that a pest control inspection found no evidence of bed bugs and considered our video “inconclusive.” However, this does not change what we saw and recorded in the room. Even setting aside the bed bug issue, the room was noticeably dirty and the handling of our complaint was disappointing. This was the worst hotel experiences we have had.”
