“Having lived in the Middle East for almost 30 years (where customer service and hotels are typically to a high standard) this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The attention to detail is nothing short of perfect. During turndown, they leave a card with the next day’s weather forecast, play relaxing music, and set out a small evening snack with a personal note. They also offer a bath butler service, drawing your bath before you return for the evening. Suet and the team are incredibly knowledgeable about local restaurants and are always happy to take the time to chat things through. Highly recommend Tek Sen Chinese restaurant! Breakfast is equally fantastic, alternating between continental and Dim Sum. We enjoyed an amazing platter followed by Shakshuka. The location is perfect: peaceful evenings, right in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Old Town Penang. It’s hard to put into words just how special this place is. If you’re on the fence, book it - you won’t regret it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ It makes all other hotels disappointing!”
