“✅ Incredible location. Just along Álvaro Obregón and sandwiched between two taquerías, plus a few steps from Cafebrería El Péndulo. ✅ Affordable enough as an accommodation. ❌ Terrible customer service. Check in was at 3 PM (that's clear, I get that). I asked the woman at the counter at 2:30 PM if my room was ready and if I could just get in a bit earlier. She didn't even look at me (she was just staring at the computer) and just bluntly said 3. No greeting, no smile, not even eye contact. She was then just on her phone and waited exactly for 3 before she started processing the people waiting in the lobby. ❌ Inconsistent restaurant. I stayed at this hotel two years ago, and I could tell that the service had declined. The free breakfast used to include eggs and bread besides fruit; now it was just a few thin slices of fruit. That was it. I could understand that, but the service was terrible. First, I got an email from Booking.com (see screenshot below) that I have a 15% discount for the restaurant. When I ordered breakfast on top of the free fruit, then showed my email, the waiter acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. They even had to take my phone (which I was uncomfortable with) and showed it to the front desk, and the woman just raised her eyebrows and laughed, like I would invent such an email! Finally, after around 20 minutes, the waiter returned and offered me 20% off because, guess what, that was their promo all along! They even posted it on their TV (see photo below). So I didn't even have to show the email; they just wanted to humiliate their guests. Overall, if you want a great location for a relatively affordable price, it's a good deal. But for the rude customer service you're getting, it's not worth it.”
