“Clean modern hotel, great staff. Sometimes they couldn't understand me, but then they would call in someone who could speak better English. I stay here four days, took a trip the staff helped organize and then returned to this hotel till I left Mandalay. I started walking around the area. Stores and restaurants were close so I could avoid the healthy taxi prices when I was hungry. The road is torn up in front of the hotel but I feel sure it will be reapaired eventually. Try the shaved ice cream around the corner from the hotel. The staff welcomed me back after my side trip to Bagan and Inle Lake, with a hand drawn welcome back sign in the lobby. It was so nice. Great breakfast. The bathroom has new fixtures but there is no shower curtain and the floor and toilet can be wet for a while. There are rubber shoes to wear until the floor dries. I did not learn how to get hot water for my shower and it just didn't remain enough of a problem for me to ask at the front desk about it. This is a great hotel for the money.”
