“This was not our first stay at this hotel, but unfortunately it will definitely be our last. The room we were assigned this time was well below our expectations and significantly worse than the room we had during our previous visits. Given our past positive experiences, this was particularly disappointing. The restaurant however is great. To make matters worse, the hotel lost my birthday cake, which completely ruined what was supposed to be a special celebration. Although the staff managed to locate the cake the following day and kindly offered me a gift as a gesture of goodwill, the damage had already been done. Given the price paid and the standards expected from a hotel of this level, I believe the staff should have made a greater effort to prevent such a situation from occurring in the first place.”
