“The hotel is in a historic crossroads in the centre of the city of Luxembourg on a route from Paris to Trier. The building itself dates back to the early 18th century and the rooms we had were spacious with views in two directions. It is adjacent to the art gallery and has a good restaurant and bar with welcoming staff. It is in a lively area of the city. The down side of a building this old is that it is difficult for them to add in a lift to all floors. To get to our rooms we had to go up a flight of stairs, then take a lift for one floor then ascend another flight of stairs to get to the room. On the evening we were there, there was an evening marathon through the centre of the city and although this added positively to the atmosphere of the area, it did mean that there was some street noise until quite late (midnight). Also there was no parking as the nearby streets were closed off for the marathon.”
