“I had a wonderful stay at EKHO Lake House. The property was originally an old circuit bungalow used by British Government Agents and has since been converted into a boutique hotel. Interestingly, it is located right in the middle of the Polonnaruwa archaeological site. The main Polonnaruwa Museum and one of the ancient king’s courts are located right next to the hotel, making it a perfect place to stroll among the ancient ruins in the evening. I stayed at one of their Premier Lake View rooms. The Deluxe lake view rooms also have the same view. The room was clean, beautiful and spacious. I highly recommend this hotel. - The restaurant menu was limited, and comparatively slightly expensive compared to other similar hotels. - The pool is quite small and can only accommodate three or four people at a time.”
