“The hotel was located close to restaurants, booking tours and an easy walk from the boat pier. It was situated on the river where you could enjoy the sunset and breakfast each day. The pool was refreshing after being out all morning. Breakfast was reasonable. Staff made us extra pancakes as they had some noisy guests the previous night and I think they were trying to make it up to us. The staff were helpful but only one could speak English. We were given fresh towels and water each day. We can’t expect 5 star on an island in Laos so we were comfortable for our stay. The shower head didn’t work correctly and the toilet ran out of water in the cistern each morning. The rooms need a good scrub and a bit of a paint to refresh them. One night we wanted to watch TV but it didn’t work according to the staff who came to look at it. We had coffee and cups in the room but no kettle which was odd.”
