“My 6-night stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Seoul was an absolute service catastrophe that completely shattered my trust in the Marriott Bonvoy brand. On my first night, severe room maintenance defects forced me to physically pack and haul my own luggage across THREE different rooms over a two-hour period, while front desk staff completely ignored the situation for 90 minutes. The post-stay behavior of this hotel is an absolute disgrace. After checking out, I left official 1-star feedback detailing the failure. Rather than addressing the issue, local operations management, specifically Jenn Kim and John Lee, rejected my repeated requests for standard service recovery. Instead, they weaponized automated email templates to repeatedly deny compensation, hiding behind useless paper breakfast coupons that I explicitly told them I could not use and returned completely untouched to the front desk. To cap off this total breakdown of brand standards, Marriott Corporate Customer Care validated my complaint on June 10 and formally promised an executive review within 5 business days. Corporate then completely ghosted my follow-up emails. When I pushed further, someone from corporate automatically forwarded the case right back to the local property without even looking into it. As a result, a local staff member named Erica Heo simply sent yet another automated template denial under the guise of an "Executive Care" response. It has now been a month since I checked out, which serves as absolute proof that nobody at this property or corporate cares about guest complaints. Because the entire Marriott Bonvoy ecosystem is a broken loop designed to exhaust the customer and avoid accountability, I have completely lost my confidence in them. There is zero accountability, zero customer care, and zero brand integrity at this property. Do not trust their loyalty program, and avoid this hotel at all costs.”
