“As soon as we arrived at the front of the hotel, we knew we had made the right decision for our final night in South Korea. The whole place felt unique and special, like stepping somewhere completely different from a standard hotel experience. Check-in was easy, although the reception staff only spoke a little English. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived, so we went for lunch locally, the reception area was beautifully ai conditioned and smelled amazing. We had originally booked a Deluxe Super King Room and were initially given an accessible room next to the lobby area. Although the room itself was lovely, it wasn’t what I had booked, so I went back to reception and politely asked if we could move. There were no other rooms of the same type available, so instead we were given a complimentary upgrade to the Ondol room and it was incredible. The upgraded room was absolutely stunning, with a separate bedroom, seating area, relaxation space, beautiful wooden bath, and our own private courtyard with outdoor seating. Unfortunately it rained for most of our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outside area properly, which was a shame, they even gave you outdoor shoes to wear. Everything about the hotel felt luxurious and immaculately clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and large. The bathroom included Molton Brown toiletries, fluffy dressing gowns, a wooden sunken bath tub and views of the private courtyard. A little kitchen area with microwave and a complimentary minibar with fruity water, beer, and San Pellegrino, a coffee machine and water dispenser were also provided. There was even a massage chair which looked slightly out of place at first, but after lots of walking and exercise during our trip it ended up being amazing, a good laugh… even if slightly painful! We were given vouchers for two complimentary drinks, including tea, coffee, or juice, which was another lovely touch. The hotel backs onto Songdo Park, which is absolutely beautiful, with bridges, water, deer, and plenty to explore. The surrounding area felt peaceful and scenic with lots of restaurants nearby. We absolutely loved this hotel and it felt like the perfect, relaxing way to spend our final night in Korea. If you want a unique Hanok experience with luxury touches, definitely stay here, it was memorable, relaxing, and completely worth the price.”
