“The experience at the Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. We arrived late at night due to flight overbooking and were immediately confronted with a very disturbing environment. There was a public festival nearby with extremely loud music and a crowd that felt unsafe. Both my son and I were explicitly warned not to use our phones outside, which is not something one expects when arriving at a resort hotel. The surroundings and the general atmosphere were deeply uncomfortable. Upon entering the hotel area, the first impression was of disorder and insecurity, giving the feeling of being in a poorly controlled area rather than in a holiday resort. At moments, the environment resembled a red-light district, which was shocking and completely inappropriate, especially as I was travelling with my family. There was no sense of tranquillity, safety or hospitality. We did not feel protected or at ease at any point during our short stay. As a result, we left the hotel early the next morning without even having breakfast. This hotel does not meet the basic standards of comfort, security or ambience expected from a resort. It was an experience we would not repeat and cannot recommend under any circumstances.”
