“We love this hotel and preferred this hotel to the other one we stayed in the "city" side of town. This hotel is in the heart of the Gion district in the quieter section (not touristy section). It's close to a lot, but yet nice and quiet when your return from a full day of activities. Make sure to explore the surrounding streets - we picked a random place for dinner and just loved it. We enjoyed how the hotel was very small and intimate - we never encountered anyone at breakfast. Breakfast was very simple, I kinda wish it had more options, but yet I didn't go hungry, and it was actually nice as some of the included breakfast buffets have so much, that I end up over eating! The room was modern and had everything we needed. There's a separate shower room and toilet room off the bathroom. The shower had very high pressure and I had no problem with hot water. Very nice. I do wish the TV had some international choices, not just Japanese, (or maybe closed caption English) - but it really wasn't a problem as I didn't come to Japan to watch TV. The staff was very sweet as well. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!”
